"Watercolor Skies," 12 x 12, Oil on Linen Board,
available at Huff Harrington Fine Art, Atlanta, Georgia
Welcome to my website. I update it frequently with new images -- just click the Recent Work link, or Archives to see more. I strive for spontaneity and truth in my painting - I also aim to keep things simple, yet strong. Robert Genn recently cited a great quote from Garrison Keillor, which, though meant for writers, sums up the painting adventure, and really resonated with me: "There's no mastery to be had. You love the attempt. You don't master a story any more than you master a river. You feel lucky to canoe down it."
I am now teaching workshops; see the link for dates and places. Also, good news: I recently had 2 paintings juried into the 2010 Salon International Show to be held at The Greenhouse Gallery of Fine Art, San Antonio, TX, opening on Friday, April 10th.
Painting trip to Italy in September, 2010, is almost full -- check Workshop link for details.
